What we collect

Only what you type into the quote form: your name, your company, your email address, your phone number, the service you are asking about, and — if you choose to give them — approximate square footage and a message.

That is the only information you give us deliberately. Two measurement tools also record that pages were viewed, described below.

Page view counting

We count page views, so we know which pages people find useful. This runs on Vercel, the company that hosts this site — the same servers that already deliver these pages to you.

It sets no cookie and stores no identifier for you. It records that a page was viewed, roughly where in the world from, and what kind of device and browser. There is no profile and no way for us to work out that two visits came from the same person.

Google Analytics

We also use Google Analytics, which tells us more than a plain page count: which pages lead people to request a quote, and whether visitors arrive from a search, a link, or our Google Business Profile.

It works differently from the counter above, and you should know how. It places cookies on your device and loads a script from Google’s servers, so Google receives your IP address and can recognise your browser when you come back. That makes it possible for us to see that one person visited several pages on different days. We use it to understand how the site is performing. We do not run advertising on it, and we do not sell or share this data with anyone else — but Google is a separate company processing it under its own terms.

If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser add-on that turns it off on every site you visit: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Your browser’s own privacy settings and most ad blockers stop it too, and nothing on this site stops working if you block it.

What we do with it

A submitted form is sent as an email to qcharles@ywcleaning.com so we can reply to you. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell, rent, or share your details with anyone, and we will not add you to a mailing list.

The email travels through Google’s mail servers and is stored in our Google Workspace mailbox, so Google processes it in the ordinary course of carrying our email.

Your IP address

To stop automated abuse, the server counts how many form submissions arrive from one internet address. That address is held in memory for sixty seconds and then discarded. It is never written to a file or attached to your enquiry.

How long we keep it

Quote requests stay in our email for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep ordinary business records. If you become a customer, your details are kept for the life of the account and afterwards as our records require.

Removing your details

Email or call and ask. We will delete what we hold and confirm that we have. You do not need to give a reason, and there is no form to fill in.

You can also ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.

Children

This is a website for commercial cleaning contracts. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we will change this page and update the date at the top.
